Local Thrifty is an online marketing site for businesses in smaller market areas that larger daily deal sites do not cater to. The site was built in ColdFusion with an extensive administration back end that also integrates with JangoMail for daily emails. A countdown timer, “Thrifty Meter”, and a variety of other functional pieces are incorporated in each deal page. Every template was created with expansion in mind to accommodate the business plan of numerous markets being added on a regular basis.
The design concept was to give the whole business a retro, small-town look and feel, so vintage fonts, graphics and colors are used throughout. The result is a fun, easy to use site that encourages the user to participate and convert. bkmacdaddy designs extended the identity to business cards, fliers, signage, online advertising, Facebook pages, Twitter profiles and more.
