Submit Your Twitter Backgrounds That Have Never Been On A List

A little over a week ago I asked designers to submit their work and info so those who have not been recognized on the roundups and lists that come out all the time could finally be featured on a list of their own. Last Friday I compiled this information into 24 Designers You’ve Never Seen On A List Before and it was a big hit! As of this writing that post has had over 1200 visitors and, more importantly, has brought some designers into the spotlight that have never occupied it before. I am thrilled with the design community’s response and encouragement, and I am looking at future posts featuring more “unknown” designers as they submit their info to be included.

Today however I am sending out a similar but more specific request. Have you seen the various posts on design blogs of “Top Twitter Backgrounds” and the like? A Twitter background is a powerful way to brand yourself or your business as well as a method of displaying your design skills. I am pretty proud of my own Twitter background and have received numerous compliments regarding it, but I have only ever been included on one Twitter background list (thank you, Cheth!) Once again I have come to realize that most of these Twitter background lists include the same examples over and over. I recognize that it must be next to impossible to go through the millions of Twitter profiles to find new and interesting designs, but that thought just leads me to believe that we have only seen two to three hundred of the best designs – out of millions!

So here is your chance to show off your Twitter background design. Simply leave your information in the comments below and within the next week or so I will compile them together to create a gallery of Twitter backgrounds that have never been on a list. Remember, that is the only qualification: your design must never have been on a list before.
